Patrice Le Pera Artist Bio Patrice Le Pera is a distinguished portrait artist known for her oil portraits that vividly depict the sacred and cultural traditions of Native American tribes.

Her work aims to immortalize these traditions and beliefs, recognizing the power of imagery to shape societal attitudes and preserve cultural heritage. With a diverse background, Patrice has illustrated children’s books in collaboration with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe, as well as projects like “Raggamuffins” and “The Hallowe’en Pledge.” Her contributions extend to designing educational materials, such as a tribal dictionary to support language preservation efforts.

A former Illustrator Coordinator for SCBWI and an active member of WASCO and the Windsor Arts Council, Patrice has also worked as a digital photographer and graphic designer. Her paintings have been showcased at prominent venues like the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and the Hembree House Gallery, and have won awards Internationally, including Exhibizone Grand Prize, Biafarin Spirituality, Biafarin Scenic, As well as the prestigious California, Sonoma County 1 st Place Portrait award. Her varied career includes notable roles such as an opera singer and a Senior Contract Administrator for NASA’s Space Station program through Ford Aerospace and Yardney Technical Products Contracts.

Patrice’s global experience in negotiating Government Contracts for German Tillyard BKP and DAEWOO (Korean) Construction projects, for embassies and NATO Schinnen (Holland) projects has deepened her appreciation for diverse cultural practices. Driven by a profound respect for sacred traditions, Patrice has dedicated herself to capturing these disappearing cultures through her art.
